Shiba Inu holders pulled a striking amount of supply off exchanges over the past day. On-chain data cited by U.Today shows a net 110.59 billion SHIB tokens flowed out of exchange wallets in 24 hours, a level of withdrawal activity large enough to register as a notable shift in trader behavior even for a token with a supply denominated in the quadrillions.

The figure comes from CryptoQuant, and it measures net flow, meaning it strips out deposits and isolates the gap between coins leaving exchanges and coins arriving on them. A negative netflow of this size implies significantly more SHIB was moved into self-custody or cold storage than was deposited for potential sale, a pattern traders typically read as a reduction in near-term selling pressure.

What the Numbers Show

Exchange-held SHIB balances fell more than 9% over the same 24-hour window, according to the report, suggesting the available float for immediate selling on exchanges is thinning. SHIB itself traded around $0.000004669 at the time, up 1.42% on the day, a modest but positive move that lines up with the reduced-supply narrative.

The amount of SHIB tokens moved out of exchanges amid growing demand is significantly greater than the amount of SHIB returned to exchanges for sell-off purposes over the last day.

Netflow Data Has Limits

Large one-day netflow swings can also reflect a single whale relocating holdings between wallets rather than a broad shift in retail sentiment, so the figure alone doesn't confirm sustained accumulation. Still, the timing lines up with a broader live catalyst for the token: Shibarium's planned privacy upgrade with cryptography firm Zama, built on fully homomorphic encryption, was originally targeted for the second quarter of 2026 and has since slipped, leaving August as a plausible window for delivery news that could give holders a reason to sit tight rather than sell.

Where SHIB Sits Technically

Price action has SHIB testing support in the $0.0000045–$0.0000046 range, a zone that roughly coincides with a prior swing high. Analysts tracking the setup have pointed to $0.00000506 and then $0.00000553 as the next levels to watch if that support holds, though forecasts for a token this volatile carry wide error bars and shouldn't be read as a guarantee of direction.
