Binance is offering a limited-time promotional fee on its Lite Loan product, letting users borrow up to 1,000 USDT against their Bitcoin holdings at a fixed 0.5% fee over a simple 30-day term. The exchange is positioning the offer as a way for holders to access short-term liquidity without selling their BTC, a use case that has become increasingly common as bitcoin-backed lending has matured into a mainstream feature across major exchanges.

Lite Loan is designed as a simplified alternative to Binance's standard crypto-backed lending products, using a fixed fee rather than an accruing interest rate, and requiring no separate collateral management from the borrower beyond posting BTC upfront.

Part of a broader lending market shift

Binance's promotional fee lands amid a wider repricing of bitcoin-backed loans across the industry in 2026. Standalone lenders such as Strike now advertise Bitcoin-backed loans starting around 9.5% APR with no origination or early-repayment fees, while platforms like Arch have introduced tiered pricing that rewards larger borrowers with better rates. Across the sector, the shift has also moved toward native Bitcoin as collateral rather than wrapped tokens, reducing the smart-contract and bridge risk that came with earlier generations of crypto lending products.

The broader crypto lending market has grown alongside that repricing: outstanding crypto loan volume surpassed $73 billion in late 2025, exceeding the prior all-time high set during the 2021 bull run, with loan volume up roughly 50% year-over-year in some segments. Binance's Lite Loan promotion positions the exchange to compete for a slice of that growing demand by undercutting typical CeFi fee structures during the promotional window, at least for smaller loan sizes capped at 1,000 USDT.

What borrowers should know

The 0.5% fee applies specifically to the 30-day term and the up-to-1,000-USDT loan size; Binance has not disclosed how long the promotional pricing will remain available or what standard rates apply outside the promotional window. As with any collateralized loan, borrowers remain exposed to liquidation risk if bitcoin's price falls sharply enough to erode the value of posted collateral relative to the loan balance, a risk that fixed-fee, short-duration products like Lite Loan are structured to limit relative to longer-term borrowing.
