Binance has launched an $800,000 XRP rewards program for holders of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, with no cap on how much an individual account can earn. The exchange listed an annualized rate of 8.08% based on the past seven days, and distributions are set to run through August 14 for users who meet Binance's Margin or Futures trading requirements alongside their RLUSD holdings.

The campaign is the latest in a series of incentive pushes Binance has run since listing RLUSD, aimed at pulling liquidity into a stablecoin that remains a distant third behind Tether's USDT and Circle's USDC by market capitalization.

RLUSD's Growth Has Cooled

RLUSD's market capitalization climbed from roughly $130 million a year ago to nearly $1.78 billion by late May 2026, but it has since pulled back to around $1.51 billion — a decline of more than 10% over recent weeks. The timing suggests Binance's reward program is partly designed to counter that momentum loss by giving traders a direct incentive to hold RLUSD rather than rotate into competing stablecoins.

Part of a Broader Distribution Push

The rewards campaign follows Ripple's move to expand RLUSD across more than 40 blockchains through a Wormhole integration in June, and a partnership with the x402 Foundation aimed at positioning the stablecoin for AI-driven payments. Binance itself has been building out RLUSD access on the exchange, having listed the token on Ethereum with XRP Ledger support expected to follow.

For now, the $800,000 pool gives Binance users a concrete reason to add RLUSD to their holdings, though whether the incentive translates into a durable increase in the stablecoin's market share once the campaign ends remains an open question.
