Binance says its bStocks tokenized equities product has captured roughly 27% of the global tokenized equity market just seven weeks after launch, a climb the exchange is calling the fastest market-share gain of the year.
The exchange's own figures, corroborated by outside trackers, show assets under management on the platform growing from $5.6 million on its first day to more than $599 million within seven weeks, while the number of tokenized stocks available expanded from five names to more than 46.
Overtaking an Established Rival
That growth was enough to push bStocks past xStocks into second place among the world's largest tokenized-equities platforms, according to the same tracking data. Binance has continued adding to the lineup since launch, including a recent batch of ten additional tokenized stocks, part of a broader push by the exchange to offer round-the-clock exposure to U.S. equities without requiring users to open a traditional brokerage account.
A New Kind of Investor
The user data behind the growth points to genuine new demand rather than existing traders simply shifting products: 41.5% of bStocks users made their first-ever investment in a traditional financial asset through the platform, and Gen Z accounts for 44% of all trading activity on it. That skew toward younger, first-time equity investors mirrors a broader trend of exchanges using round-the-clock, on-chain access as a wedge into markets that have traditionally kept banking hours — not unlike the steady institutional inflows into regulated bitcoin and ether ETFs this year, as more traditional capital finds its way into crypto-adjacent wrappers.
