Bitget says daily active user penetration for its tokenized stock product, rToken, has surged 18x since launch, a growth figure the exchange is pointing to as evidence of rising demand for real-world asset trading among its crypto user base. According to the exchange, roughly 1 in 10 spot traders on the platform are now incorporating rTokens into their activity.

What rTokens Offer

Bitget's rTokens are designed to give spot traders exposure to tokenized versions of traditional equities without leaving the exchange's existing trading environment. Beyond simple price exposure, Bitget has positioned the tokens as multi-purpose instruments that traders can hold, use as margin, or pledge as collateral within the platform — functionality the exchange has highlighted as a differentiator from holding a plain tokenized stock position.

Riding the Real-World Asset Trend

The reported adoption jump comes as tokenized real-world assets, or RWAs, have become one of the more actively promoted categories across centralized exchanges this year, with platforms racing to offer synthetic exposure to equities, treasuries, and other traditional instruments on-chain or through exchange-native token wrappers. Bitget's 18x DAU figure, if it holds up as the product matures beyond its early growth phase, would suggest the exchange has found meaningful traction converting existing spot traders into RWA users rather than needing to acquire an entirely new audience.

Reading the Numbers With Some Caution

As with most growth statistics self-reported by an exchange, the 18x figure lacks an absolute baseline — a small starting user count can produce a large multiple even if the current total remains modest in absolute terms. The claim that 1 in 10 spot traders now use rTokens is the more concrete of the two figures, offering a clearer sense of penetration among Bitget's existing trading base, though it still comes without independent verification.
