BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust has recorded net inflows for four consecutive trading days, pulling in a combined 9,269 BTC worth roughly $604 million, according to on-chain tracker Lookonchain. The streak has made BlackRock's fund the dominant force behind a broader recovery in US spot Bitcoin ETF demand, with IBIT alone accounting for nearly 80% of the $766 million in total net inflows across all Bitcoin ETFs during the run.

The daily breakdown shows the streak building momentum rather than fading: Bitcoin ETFs attracted $170.1 million on August 3, followed by $211.5 million on August 4, $244.4 million on August 5, and $137.6 million on August 6 — the four sessions Lookonchain's data captures. IBIT posted positive flows on every one of those days, reinforcing its position as the primary vehicle institutional investors are using to gain regulated Bitcoin exposure.

A rebound from a weak July

The current streak stands out because it follows a notably soft month for Bitcoin ETF flows broadly, with July marked by sustained outflows as institutional demand cooled. The early-August reversal suggests renewed institutional appetite, and it lines up with Bitcoin's own price action over the same window — the token climbed back above $65,000 on August 7 after a weaker-than-expected US jobs report reduced the odds of a near-term Fed rate hike, a macro backdrop that tends to favor renewed inflows into risk assets like Bitcoin ETFs.

Why concentration in one fund matters

IBIT's outsized share of the inflows — capturing four out of every five dollars entering Bitcoin ETFs during the streak — underscores how concentrated institutional Bitcoin exposure has become around BlackRock's product specifically, rather than spreading evenly across the roughly dozen spot Bitcoin ETFs now trading in the US. That concentration gives BlackRock's fund outsized influence over aggregate ETF flow data and makes its daily creation and redemption activity one of the more closely watched signals for gauging institutional sentiment toward Bitcoin in real time.
