Bybit has added five new indicators to its charting tools, aimed at giving derivatives traders more visibility into positioning and market structure without leaving the platform's native charts. The upgrade, announced August 5, adds Liquidation Volume, Open Interest, Funding Rate, Liquidation Profile Visible Range (LPVR), and a Custom Formula builder.
Several of the new tools track data that has traditionally required third-party analytics platforms to access. Open Interest and Funding Rate are standard derivatives metrics that show, respectively, how much capital remains committed to open futures positions and the periodic payments exchanged between long and short traders on perpetual contracts. Liquidation Volume shows the scale of forced position closures over a given period, while LPVR breaks liquidation activity down by price level within the visible chart range, plotting liquidated long positions on one side and liquidated shorts on the other so traders can see which price zones have recently triggered the most forced selling or buying.

Reading liquidation clusters as market signals
Traders commonly use liquidation-level data to identify price zones that may act as support or resistance, on the theory that heavy liquidation activity at a given level reflects a concentration of leveraged positions that have already been flushed out, potentially reducing the odds of a repeat move triggering a similar cascade at the same price. The Custom Formula tool, meanwhile, lets users build their own indicators by combining Bybit's underlying data feeds, extending the platform's charting beyond its built-in indicator library.
Part of a broader tooling push
The update adds to a string of platform-level features Bybit has rolled out in 2026 alongside its expansion into tokenized U.S. equities and commodities perpetuals, reflecting a broader trend among major exchanges to bundle increasingly sophisticated analytics directly into their native trading interfaces rather than leaving traders reliant on external charting services.
