Four of the market's most-watched assets are moving in lockstep this week, and the direction is sideways. Bitcoin, XRP, Dogecoin and Hyperliquid are all consolidating within tight ranges, with declining trading volume across the board suggesting neither buyers nor sellers are willing to commit to a clear direction just yet.
Bitcoin is trading around $63,800, pinned between support near $60,000 and resistance at its 50-day EMA of roughly $67,000. Its Relative Strength Index sits almost exactly at the neutral 50 mark, and its 200-day EMA remains elevated enough to keep the broader trend leaning bearish. U.Today described the setup as range-bound with a clear “lack of directional momentum,” a read that matches the fading volume accompanying the sideways drift.
XRP and Dogecoin grind in place
XRP is trading just below $1.08, with the $1.00 level acting as a psychological floor that buyers have defended since June. Resistance sits at $1.10, while the 200-day EMA near $1.39 continues trending lower, a sign the longer-term trend still has work to do before turning constructive. RSI near 46 points to balanced momentum, and volatility has dropped off sharply as the token sits trapped in consolidation.
Dogecoin tells a similar story at around $0.070, wedged against support near the same level with layered resistance stacked between $0.075 and $0.085. Its 200-day EMA at $0.10 still looms well above spot price, keeping the meme coin's broader trend tilted bearish even as its RSI near 44 shows it has recovered out of oversold territory. Volume has continued to decline through the consolidation, reinforcing the low-conviction tone running through the entire market.
Hyperliquid steadies after a sharp correction
Hyperliquid's HYPE token has had the roughest ride of the four, losing nearly 30% of its value in recent weeks after topping $75. It has since found footing near $50, roughly where its 200-day EMA sits, and has climbed back to around $56. Its 50-day EMA at $58 now marks the next resistance test, with the 100-day EMA further out near $63. RSI remains below 50, indicating bearish momentum is fading rather than reversing outright, while volume during the rebound has stayed notably thin.
What's holding the market back
The muted price action lines up with a broader macro standoff. The Federal Reserve held its benchmark rate at 3.50%-3.75% at its most recent meeting, with three regional Fed presidents dissenting in favor of an immediate hike and Chair Kevin Warsh reiterating that any inflation reading above 2% remains unacceptable. Fed funds futures are now pricing roughly a 72% probability of a rate hike in September, which several analysts have flagged as the real decision point for crypto markets rather than the current consolidation stretch. Until that question resolves, the pattern across Bitcoin, XRP, Dogecoin and Hyperliquid looks set to continue: tight ranges, thinning volume, and a market waiting for a reason to move.
