Shiba Inu holders pulled 522 billion SHIB off exchanges in the past 24 hours, according to U.Today, yet the token's price has failed to follow the move higher. SHIB is trading around $0.00000460, still boxed in below the $0.00000500 resistance that has capped every bounce attempt this year.
The withdrawal marks a sharp reversal from the accumulation pattern seen earlier in the week and would typically be read as a bullish signal, since tokens leaving exchanges usually signal holders moving into cold storage rather than preparing to sell. This time, author Arman Shirinyan notes, the outflow has coincided with a stalled recovery instead of a breakout, leaving the bullish read on shaky ground.
A Pattern That Isn't Holding
The disconnect isn't new for SHIB this year. Earlier in the week, a comparable 324 billion token withdrawal was framed by analysts as whales positioning for an uptrend, and the network has also logged fresh burn activity, with roughly 83 million SHIB removed from supply so far in August. None of it has been enough to shift the technical picture: SHIB remains below its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, and its most recent bounce printed a lower high after getting rejected near the 50-day average.

The Levels That Matter Now
Immediate support sits at $0.00000445, just above the recent local lows around $0.00000410. A break below that band would invalidate the recovery structure that has been building over the past two weeks. On the upside, buyers need to reclaim the $0.00000500 resistance before any bullish momentum can be taken seriously — a level that has rejected every attempt so far in 2026. Momentum indicators have drifted back toward the neutral 50 mark after briefly pushing into bullish territory, reinforcing the sense that SHIB is stuck rather than turning a corner.
Until price and outflows start moving in the same direction, the 522 billion token withdrawal looks more like defensive repositioning than the start of a new leg up.
