Binance has published its latest weekly APR snapshot for the USD1 Airdrop program, setting a base annual percentage rate of 4.34% for holders of the USD1 stablecoin. Users who also trade USD1 futures pairs on the exchange qualify for a boosted rate of 5.21%, a 1.2x multiplier over the base yield.

How the boosted rate works

The program rewards two distinct behaviors: simply holding USD1 earns the base 4.34% APR, while combining that with active trading of USD1 futures pairs unlocks the higher 5.21% rate. Binance has been running the airdrop as a recurring weekly snapshot, meaning the specific APR figures can shift from one week to the next based on program parameters.

Part of a broader stablecoin push

The USD1 Airdrop sits alongside a wider set of yield-generating products Binance has rolled out for stablecoin holders, aimed at giving users an incentive to keep balances on the exchange rather than moving funds elsewhere. Pairing passive holding rewards with a trading-activity bonus is a structure Binance has used across several of its recent stablecoin incentive programs.

What it means for USD1 holders

For traders already active on USD1 futures markets, the announcement effectively raises the return on balances they would be holding regardless. For passive holders, the gap between the base and boosted rates offers a concrete incentive to add trading activity into the mix, though the boosted APR applies only for as long as the current snapshot period remains in effect.
