BingX, a cryptocurrency exchange serving more than 40 million users worldwide, has appointed Kevin Lee as its new Chief Strategy Officer, the company announced on August 3, 2026. The move places a two-decade veteran of traditional finance and digital assets at the center of the exchange's push into multi-asset trading.
Lee brings more than 20 years of experience across institutional finance, electronic markets, fintech and digital assets. He entered the digital asset industry in 2013 and has since held senior leadership roles at several prominent crypto companies. Before that, he built his career at JPMorgan Chase, Macquarie Group and BNP Paribas, where he specialized in electronic trading, market structure and algorithmic execution across the Asia-Pacific region.
A Mandate to Unify Strategy Across Markets
In his new role, Lee will lead BingX's long-term strategic direction, overseeing platform innovation, business growth and ecosystem development. The company said his focus will be on connecting market trends, user behavior and product innovation to help traders discover and access opportunities across global markets — spanning futures, spot trading, copy trading and traditional finance offerings.
"The next era of trading will be defined not only by access to more asset classes, but by how seamlessly users can discover and access opportunities across them," Lee said.
BingX's Expanding Footprint
Founded in 2018, BingX has grown into one of the top five global crypto derivatives exchanges by volume and positions itself as a pioneer of copy trading, a feature that lets users automatically mirror the trades of experienced counterparts. The exchange has also leaned on high-profile sports sponsorships to build brand recognition, serving as a principal partner of Chelsea FC since 2024 and, as of 2026, the first official crypto exchange partner of Scuderia Ferrari HP.
Lee's hiring fits a broader pattern among major exchanges, which have increasingly recruited executives with Wall Street pedigrees as they compete for institutional order flow alongside retail trading volume. By pairing a JPMorgan and Macquarie alumnus with its consumer-facing product suite, BingX is signaling that its next phase of growth will lean as much on institutional-grade market structure expertise as on retail-facing incentives like copy trading and sponsorship deals.
