Bitget says it has improved liquidity on its tokenized Stock Perpetuals product, part of a broader push around rToken, the exchange's mechanism for bringing Nasdaq and NYSE-linked equity exposure onto its trading platform. A member of Bitget's team, posting under the handle GracyBitget, said the company had spent the past several months pushing to tighten liquidity on Stock Perps after users reported the product already traded efficiently with minimal slippage.

Bitget did not disclose specific before-and-after metrics quantifying the liquidity improvement, but framed the update as a direct response to user feedback on trading efficiency for tokenized equity contracts.

rToken Now Doubles as Loan Collateral

Alongside the liquidity update, Bitget is promoting a feature that lets users post rToken holdings, its tokenized stock instrument, directly as collateral for loans at a reduced APR, rather than requiring them to sell their equity exposure to access liquidity elsewhere. The exchange is marketing this as a way for users to stay capital efficient heading into earnings season, when stock prices tend to see the largest swings.

The pitch is straightforward: a user holding rToken exposure to a stock they expect to appreciate can borrow against that position instead of liquidating it, preserving upside exposure while still accessing capital for other trades. Bitget describes this as giving one token three simultaneous uses, holding equity exposure, trading it, and borrowing against it, without needing to convert between separate products.

Fitting a Broader Tokenized-Equity Trend

The dual update, deeper Stock Perps liquidity plus expanded rToken utility as collateral, arrives as competing exchanges roll out their own tokenized-stock and commodity-linked trading products. Bitget's emphasis on capital efficiency, letting a single token serve multiple functions at once, reflects a broader industry effort to make tokenized real-world assets more useful beyond simple buy-and-hold exposure.
