Bitget Wallet has introduced Assetback, a feature that automatically returns a portion of user purchases as cashback in the form of Bitcoin, gold, or tokenized stocks, rather than cash or platform points.
According to the exchange, users can earn up to 3% back on eligible purchases, with the reward converted automatically into one of the supported asset types. The feature is built to run passively in the background, applying to spending activity without requiring users to manually claim or redeem rewards.
Turning Everyday Spending Into Asset Accumulation
The pitch behind Assetback is straightforward: instead of cashback sitting as idle fiat balance or being paid out in a platform's own token, users accumulate exposure to assets they may already want to hold, such as Bitcoin or gold, simply by spending. Tokenized stocks round out the reward options, reflecting the growing presence of stock-tracking tokens on crypto platforms.
The move fits into a broader trend among crypto wallets and exchanges to blur the line between spending and investing products, positioning routine purchases as a passive way to build a diversified asset position over time rather than treating rewards programs as a separate, disconnected perk.
Part of Bitget's Wallet Expansion
Assetback adds to a growing set of features Bitget Wallet has rolled out this year as the company pushes to compete with other self-custody and exchange-linked wallets. The addition of gold and tokenized equities as reward options, alongside Bitcoin, signals an effort to appeal to users interested in diversifying beyond crypto-only holdings within the same app.
