Bitget Wallet is set to launch a new cashback program called Assetback on August 1, 2026, giving users the option to earn rewards in Bitcoin, gold, or tokenized stocks on their everyday spending rather than cash or points.
Under the program, eligible spending will earn up to 3% back, with users able to choose which asset class they'd like their rewards paid out in. The structure lets holders route routine purchases into exposure to Bitcoin, gold, or tokenized equities without having to separately buy those assets on the open market.
Part of a Broader Push Into Everyday Spending
The launch fits into a wider trend among crypto exchanges and wallet providers positioning their products as tools for daily spending rather than purely trading and custody. By tying cashback rewards to a basket that includes both a traditional store-of-value asset like gold and tokenized stock exposure alongside Bitcoin, Bitget Wallet is aiming the program at users who want their routine purchases to build a diversified asset position over time.
Tokenized stocks in particular have become a growing category across crypto exchanges over the past year, as platforms look to offer exposure to equities without requiring users to open separate brokerage accounts. Folding that category into a cashback program is a more consumer-facing application of the trend than the trading-focused listings most exchanges have rolled out to date.
What to Watch at Launch
Bitget has not detailed which specific purchases or transaction types will qualify for Assetback rewards, nor whether the 3% rate applies uniformly across all three reward assets or varies by category. Those specifics should become clearer when the program goes live on August 1.
