Bitrue Futures listed a TIBBIR perpetual contract on August 11, giving traders leveraged exposure to Ribbita by Virtuals, an AI-agent token built on Virtuals Protocol, the Base-network platform for tokenizing autonomous AI agents.

TIBBIR doesn't represent ownership or governance rights in Virtuals Protocol itself. Instead, its value is tied to the activity and attention surrounding its specific agent, which carries Ribbit Capital branding and a crypto and fintech focus, according to project trackers. The token has a fixed supply of roughly 1 billion TIBBIR and is still described as being in stealth development, meaning its underlying technology and roadmap aren't fully public.

A Volatile Token to Trade on Leverage

TIBBIR's short trading history has already been rocky: the token has traded as much as 65% below its all-time high amid a broader pullback across Virtuals Protocol-linked AI-agent tokens, even as the sector has seen occasional sharp rallies when interest in AI-agent narratives picks back up. Listing a leveraged perpetual on a token with that kind of price history raises the stakes for traders in either direction, since 20x-style leverage common to perpetual contracts amplifies both the upside and downside of moves that have already proven large on TIBBIR's spot market.

The listing fits a pattern across exchanges this year of racing to offer derivatives on freshly launched, narrative-driven tokens well before those tokens have established any real price stability, betting that trader appetite for volatility outweighs the added risk of a still-illiquid underlying market.

For now, TIBBIR joins a growing list of Virtuals Protocol agent tokens available as leveraged instruments, a category that remains speculative even by the standards of the broader AI-agent token sector.
