Bybit launched a batch of new TradFi perpetual contracts this week, adding Shopify (SHOP), Biogen (BIIB) and Vertex (VRTXSTOCK) to its lineup of tokenized-equity products. The exchange announced all three as live simultaneously, giving traders leveraged exposure to each company's share price without needing to hold the underlying stock.
Alongside the three publicly traded names, Bybit also launched a pre-IPO perpetual contract tracking Unitree Robotics, a global leader in quadruped and humanoid robotics that has not yet gone public. A pre-IPO perpetual lets traders speculate on a private company's implied valuation ahead of any actual listing, a more unusual product than the standard tokenized-stock contracts tied to already-public companies.
Pre-IPO Contracts Push Tokenized Trading Further
Offering a perpetual contract on a company that hasn't listed publicly represents a step beyond the now-common practice of tokenizing already-traded stocks. Pricing such a contract depends on estimated private valuations rather than a live public market price, meaning it functions more like a speculative wager on a future IPO outcome than a direct tracking instrument. Unitree Robotics has drawn interest from multiple exchanges this week for exactly that kind of exposure, with Bitrue separately listing its own Unitree-tracking perpetual on the same day.

Rounding Out a Broader Product Push
The Shopify, Biogen and Vertex listings extend Bybit's tokenized-stock roster across e-commerce, biotech and specialty chemicals, sectors not always covered by rivals' more tech-heavy stock-perpetual lineups. Bybit has previously said it offers more than 60 USDT-based stock products with round-the-clock access, positioning breadth of coverage, alongside features like conditional orders and multi-chain withdrawals, as a core part of its competitive pitch in the crowded tokenized-equity race.
