Bybit has launched Season 6 of its Dual Asset Trading Competition, introducing a new Whale Bonus mechanism aimed at its highest-volume traders alongside the contest's existing reward structure.

Under the new mechanism, traders who rank in the competition's Top 10 and clear a designated Whale Threshold can earn an additional 80 USDT for every full 1 million USDT in eligible trading volume they generate above that threshold, on top of whatever they earn through the standard leaderboard rewards.

A Larger Prize Pool With New Tiers

Beyond the Whale Bonus, Season 6 carries a combined prize pool of more than 16,000 USDT available to participants across the leaderboard. Bybit also confirmed that the No. 1 spot's base prize has been doubled compared to previous seasons, and added a Critical Strike Reward mechanic that gives eligible traders a chance to win up to 2,500 USDT.

Structuring the competition with multiple overlapping reward layers, a base leaderboard prize, a volume-scaled whale bonus, and a randomized critical-strike bonus, gives Bybit multiple ways to keep both high-volume professional traders and smaller retail participants engaged simultaneously, rather than concentrating the incentive purely at the top of the leaderboard.

The addition of the Whale Bonus marks a shift from earlier seasons of the competition, which Bybit says primarily rewarded leaderboard placement. By tying an uncapped bonus directly to volume traded above a threshold, the exchange is creating a stronger incentive for its largest traders to continue scaling up activity throughout the season rather than settling once they've secured a leaderboard position.
