Gate has added tokenized versions of three more companies' shares to its spot market, part of a batch of 11 new tokenized securities the exchange rolled out. Trading in $ZHIPUG, which tracks Zhipu AI, $MINIMAXG, which tracks MiniMax Group, and $TENCENTG, which tracks Tencent Holdings, went live at 06:00 UTC on July 30, with each token paired directly against USDT.

Tokenized securities like these are synthetic, on-chain instruments designed to mirror the price of an underlying stock without granting direct ownership, dividends, or voting rights. They let crypto-native traders gain exposure to household-name equities, including ones listed on exchanges that are otherwise difficult for international retail traders to access, without opening a traditional brokerage account.

Chinese AI Names Headline the Batch

The inclusion of Zhipu AI and MiniMax Group alongside Tencent puts a spotlight on Chinese AI equities specifically. Both companies are among the most closely watched large-language-model developers competing in China's AI race, a segment that has drawn growing trader interest as the broader AI narrative extends well beyond U.S. mega-caps like OpenAI's backers and Google.

Part of a Wider Tokenization Race

Gate's listing adds to a fast-growing category of tokenized equities offered across crypto exchanges, as platforms compete to give traders continuous, round-the-clock access to stocks that would otherwise only trade during regional market hours.

Gate did not name the remaining eight assets in the 11-token batch in its initial announcement, saying only that more details would follow. The three confirmed listings nonetheless signal where the exchange is placing its bets: on trader appetite for exposure to the companies building China's AI infrastructure.
