TRON's blockchain crossed 15.01 billion cumulative transactions as of August 4, 2026, a milestone that arrived even as TRX itself struggled to build fresh buying momentum. The token traded at $0.328 at press time, sitting 26% below its December 2024 all-time high of $0.44 — a gap that would require a 34% rally to close, roughly comparable to Bitcoin's own 50% distance from its $126,000 record.

The network's transaction count is being driven overwhelmingly by stablecoin activity. TRON's average daily network transactions ran around 12.13 million, with 4.73 million average daily TRX transfers in July alone. Within that, 72.88 million USDT transfers moved across 75.37 million accounts, and July's TRC20-USDT transfer volume totaled $717 billion, with peak active addresses hitting 32.59 million during the month.

That stablecoin footprint underpins TRON's broader relevance: TRC20-USDT supply on the network has climbed to $90.20 billion, giving TRON a 49% share of total USDT in circulation, ahead of Ethereum's 41% share at $74.6 billion. For a network whose native token has spent most of 2026 well off its highs, that stablecoin settlement volume remains the strongest argument for TRON's continued relevance in the payments layer of crypto.

A Tightening Triangle at a Critical Level

On the charts, TRX has been compressing into a symmetrical triangle, with $0.332 marking the resistance level a breakout would need to clear. Momentum indicators are leaning slightly negative: Bull Bear Power sits at -0.0012, and the Cumulative Volume Delta has declined by roughly 3.78 million TRX, pointing to fading buy-side conviction even as sellers haven't taken clear control either.

That indecision matters because of who is on the other side of the trade. Tron Inc., a Nasdaq-listed treasury company, added 150,890 TRX to its holdings at an average acquisition price of $0.3314, bringing its total position to 708.4 million TRX. The purchase fits a disclosed strategy of buying approximately $50,000 worth of TRX daily for 360 consecutive days, a program the company has said is meant to capitalize on long-term network adoption and rising institutional interest in TRON's infrastructure. Tron Inc. reported net income of $21.6 million for the first quarter of 2026, with digital asset holdings valued at roughly $225.1 million as of March 31.

What a Break Either Way Would Mean

With Tron Inc.'s cost basis sitting just below the $0.332 resistance level, a decisive move above that price would put the company's recent purchases in profit and could validate the accumulation thesis behind its daily-buy program. A rejection, on the other hand, would leave TRX inside the same range it has traded in for months, even as the underlying network keeps setting new usage records.

For now, the divergence between TRON's transaction growth and TRX's price action remains the key tension: the chain keeps processing more stablecoin volume than almost any competitor, while the token itself waits for buyers to commit to a breakout.
