Bybit expanded its TradFi Perpetuals lineup with five new contracts in a single day, giving traders leveraged, round-the-clock exposure to a mix of individual stocks and ETFs. The new listings cover AMC Entertainment ($AMCUSDT), GameStop ($GMESTOCKUSDT), and Visa ($VUSDT), alongside the VanEck Gold Miners ETF ($GDXUSDT) and the ProShares Bitcoin ETF ($BITOUSDT).
Meme Stocks Meet Crypto Derivatives
The inclusion of AMC and GameStop is notable given both stocks' history as focal points of retail-driven short squeezes in traditional markets. Wrapping them as crypto-exchange perpetuals lets traders take leveraged long or short positions on their price action outside the hours and margin rules that apply on conventional U.S. equity exchanges.
Gold and Bitcoin ETF Exposure
The GDX listing gives traders exposure to gold-mining equities as a group rather than the metal itself, tracking a basket of major gold-mining companies through the VanEck ETF. The BITO listing, meanwhile, mirrors a similar contract Binance Futures rolled out around the same time, tracking ProShares' Bitcoin futures ETF rather than bitcoin's spot price directly.
Continuing the TradFi Perpetuals Rollout
All five contracts fall under Bybit's ongoing TradFi Perpetuals push, which has steadily added equity and ETF-linked products to the exchange's derivatives offering. The rapid pace of listings — five new contracts added in one day alone — reflects growing competition among major exchanges to be the venue of choice for traders seeking leveraged, always-on access to traditional market assets.
