Exchange Gate has opened round 368 of its Launchpool staking program, allowing users to stake USDT, GUSD, or its native GT token to share a reward pool of 1,000 SPCX tokenized stock tokens. The exchange estimates an annual percentage rate of up to 55.4% for participants in the pool, which ran from 12:00 UTC on July 28 through 12:00 UTC the following day.
Rewards are distributed automatically on an hourly basis throughout the staking window, meaning participants begin accruing returns shortly after depositing rather than waiting until the pool closes.
An added incentive for GUSD stakers
Gate is layering an additional incentive on top of the base Launchpool reward for users who stake its GUSD stablecoin specifically, offering a separate 3.8% minting yield on top of whatever SPCX rewards are earned through the pool itself. That structure effectively gives GUSD holders two simultaneous yield streams for the duration of the staking period.
How Launchpool rounds work
Gate's Launchpool format follows a now-familiar pattern among centralized exchanges: users lock up an eligible asset for a fixed window in exchange for a share of a separate reward token, with returns calculated based on the total amount staked across all participants rather than a fixed per-user rate. Because the 55.4% APR figure is an estimate, actual returns for individual stakers will vary depending on how much total capital is deposited into the pool before it closes.
Gate advised users to stake early, noting that reward distribution begins as soon as the mining period starts rather than being backdated for later entrants.
