KuCoin has announced a new partnership with Siebly to bring official JavaScript SDK support to its trading API, aiming to make it easier for developers to build trading applications on the exchange.
The integration centers on KuCoin's Unified Trading API (UTA), which developers can now access more directly through the new SDK rather than building custom integrations from scratch. According to KuCoin, the SDK covers core markets on the exchange, including spot and margin trading.
Lowering the barrier for developer-built trading tools
Official SDKs are a common way exchanges court algorithmic traders and third-party tool builders, since a maintained, language-specific library removes much of the boilerplate involved in authenticating requests, handling rate limits, and parsing API responses. By formalizing JavaScript support through Siebly, KuCoin is positioning the Unified Trading API as friendlier to web-based and Node.js trading applications specifically.
Part of a broader push around the UTA
KuCoin has been promoting its Unified Trading API as a single access point for developers building across multiple products on the exchange, rather than requiring separate integrations for each market. The addition of official JavaScript tooling suggests the exchange is continuing to invest in that unified approach as it competes for developer mindshare against rival exchanges offering similar SDKs.
KuCoin did not disclose additional technical specifications, such as supported authentication methods or rate limits, in its announcement.
