MEXC says its RealStocks product, which gives crypto-native traders exposure to traditional equities, drew more than 120,000 users in its first month live, according to a recap posted by the exchange's official account.
The exchange said users on the platform rallied around SpaceX in particular during the launch window, while also exploring names across the broader AI supply chain rather than concentrating purely on the largest, most familiar tech stocks.
What the early activity suggests
MEXC framed the RealStocks data as an early look at how crypto-native investors approach traditional markets when given direct access through an exchange they already use for digital assets. The emphasis on SpaceX, a company that isn't publicly traded on conventional stock exchanges, suggests that tokenized-stock demand on MEXC skews toward names that are otherwise hard for retail traders to access rather than simply mirroring the most popular publicly listed tech giants.
Part of a wider tokenized-equities push
MEXC's RealStocks launch adds it to a growing group of crypto exchanges building out tokenized or synthetic exposure to equities and ETFs alongside their core crypto offerings, competing for a segment of users who want stock market exposure without leaving the exchange app they already trade crypto on. The 120,000-user figure gives an early indication of demand, though the exchange did not disclose trading volume or how many of those users remained active beyond the first month.
