Binance is widening the list of tokenized stocks its traders can borrow against. Starting at 20:00 (UTC+8) on September 16, the exchange's Cross Margin, Unified Account, and Unified Account Pro modes will accept two new bStocks tokens — GoPro (GPROB) and Reddit (RDDTB) — as qualified collateral assets, with the corresponding bStocks trading pairs also opening for margin trading.
The addition follows a now-familiar cadence. Binance added CEA Industries' tokenized stock (BNCB) as collateral just two days earlier, on September 14, and has steadily expanded the collateral list over the past several months to include tokenized shares of Alphabet (GOOGLB), Coinbase (COINB), and the triple-leveraged semiconductor token SOXLB, among others. Each addition follows the same mechanism: once a bStocks token is approved as collateral, users holding it can borrow against its value directly within Binance's margin system rather than needing to sell the position to access liquidity.
That mechanism is seeing real usage. Borrowing against bStocks collateral has climbed sharply this year, with outstanding loans rising from just 5.5% of deposited collateral value in June to 46.2% by September 10 — roughly $3.1 million borrowed against $6.8 million in posted collateral. That is a meaningful shift from a product that launched mid-year primarily as a way to hold tokenized US equities on-chain, toward one traders are actively using as leverage infrastructure.
The backdrop is a tokenized stock market that has grown fast in 2026. Active tokenized stock market capitalization surged 314% this year to roughly $4 billion by September 9, and bStocks together with Robinhood's tokenized offering captured close to 88% of tracked trading volume among issuers in the category this month. Binance's own bStocks catalog has expanded to roughly two dozen tokenized securities since its June debut, when the product pulled in more than $1 billion in equity purchases and about $3 billion in trading volume within its first 30 days.

Growth of this kind carries a concentration problem that hasn't gone away. Technology-sector tokens have consistently dominated bStocks holdings and inflows, and accepting a 3x-leveraged token like SOXLB as loan collateral means a sharp move in semiconductor stocks can hit both the value of the collateral and the size of the loan it is backing at the same time — a compounding effect that doesn't exist with single-stock collateral. Adding GoPro and Reddit, two names outside the tech-heavy core of the catalog, nudges the collateral pool toward more sector diversity, though the bulk of trading activity and borrowing remains concentrated in a small fraction of the roughly two dozen assets listed. It's a similar dynamic to the one shaping tokenized-stock volume on Solana, where a handful of venues and assets account for the large majority of activity even as the number of listed tokens keeps growing.
For Binance, expanding the collateral list is also a competitive move. Robinhood has been pushing its own tokenized-equity ambitions aggressively this year, and the exchange that offers traders more utility for holding tokenized shares — not just price exposure, but actual borrowing power — has an edge in retaining that liquidity. Binance has already extended similar treatment to bStocks holders in other ways, including passing through cash dividends from underlying stocks like TSMC and Salesforce. Each incremental feature is small on its own, but together they're an attempt to make holding a tokenized stock on Binance functionally closer to holding the real thing.
