Gate opened spot trading for the AEON/USDT pair on July 27, 2026 at 11:00 UTC, with a zero-fee conversion option becoming available an hour later at 12:00 UTC. Withdrawals for the token were set to open the following day, July 28, at 11:00 UTC, giving early traders a full day of trading before they could move tokens off the exchange.

The listing makes Gate one of several exchanges to add AEON this week, following near-simultaneous listings elsewhere in the market as the token's backers push for wider distribution.

What AEON Is Building

AEON positions itself as settlement infrastructure for what it calls the agentic economy, aiming to solve fee overhead, programmability gaps, and settlement delays for transactions initiated by AI agents. The project builds on protocols including x402, ERC-8004, Google AP2, and MCP, and says its network already handles more than 2 million users and roughly 30 million monthly transactions.

The token is backed by YZi Labs and IDG Capital, with additional investment from HashKey Capital and the Stanford Blockchain Builders Fund, giving it a notable roster of crypto-native and institutional backers ahead of its exchange debut.
